Sessions

Anchor 1
Approach

I work from a person-centred approach to therapy which means I believe the therapeutic relationship that develops between client and counsellor is key to the process of self-discovery.

It is my belief that the client is best placed to determine the focus of each session, and it is my aim to facilitate a safe space for the client to explore freely.

Through non-judgment and genuine positive regard each individual is able to bring whatever they choose whilst I am present with them. Immersing myself in the client's world, we explore what is going on at their pace, towards the client's self-realisations.

This way of working offers an opportunity to explore a deeper understanding of who we are and what we feel, and for creating different choices.

Sessions
Our first session is for exploring what has brought you to counselling/therapy and the possibility of us working together. We discuss duration and frequency of meetings along with any details of our possible agreement and contract.

The initial session is free, and will be a telephone conversation that will take up to 25 minutes. If we choose to meet and begin regular session's thereafter, then each session is 50 minutes and held on a weekly basis.
